Escapade – iMANiM

I started by painting a huge tomato plant and introduced the small boy to create contrast. The other parts of the painting came to me after I started this piece. I then wanted to put an open door behind the boy. I felt there was still something missing, so I decided to open his silhouette in the door.

ジャイアント・トマト。内の世界にいる少年は外に出ようか躊躇している。大きいものと小さいもの、非バランスやコントラストを絵の中に落とし込み、余白を全て書き込む癖がある。少年と、トマトと、外の世界と中の世界。物語に関連性を持たせたく、ドアに少年を模った穴を開けた。
