Harissa – iMANiM

When I give my artwork a name, Iʼm thinking more about the sound than the meaning. I want the sound of the name to be a part of the painting. When I use nature as a subject, I dedicate a lot of time to the piece, and I almost feel like Iʼm painting someone. This is why I gave the cactus ears. The butterfly is his only friend.

描いた絵に作品名をつけるとき、私はその意味合いより言葉の音に意識を向ける。音も、作品の一部になってほしいと思っている。自然の一部が絵のモデルになるとき、私はそれを良く観察し、語りかける。そのためか、だんだんと、人に見えてくる。だからかな、サボテンに耳が生えているのは。蝶々は彼の唯一の友達だ。
