Roots – iMANiM

This root has nothing to do with France or Japan, but my paintings are inevitably Mexican. Especially in color and volume. When I went to Mexico, my heart somehow got excited. Do I have roots in my heart? Or roots only when I paint? When it comes to fashion and cooking, I'm very French, and when it comes to thinking, I'm quite Japanese. And yet somehow my sense of color is Mexican. Very strange.

フランスも、⽇本も、全く関係のないルーツなのだけど、私の絵って、どうしてもメキシコっぽいのだ。特にカラーとか、ボリュームとか。なんでだろう。メキシコに⾏くとなんだか⼼が躍る。⼼のルーツってあるのかな？絵を描くときだけのルーツとか。ファッションとか、料理するときはフランス⼈っぽいし、考えるときは結構⽇本⼈っぽい。なのに⾊彩感覚はなぜかメキシコなんだよね。不思議と。
